We booked this unit last spring, hoping to find a cozy spot to settle for a month of reading, walking and exploring the town. We also wanted a Columbia River view. We found this listing and took a chance. So glad we did. Although the weather was stormy about half the time, we were very comfortable enjoying the weather from the inside. The convenience of having Safeway just down the hill with a Starbucks was icing on the cake. Although we had intended to eat out more, we found that using the nice kitchen to make things for ourselves worked well. For those of you who want to take time at the coast during the winter or early spring this unit is a great solution.

Seriously, this is the first and best – out of the box It was a very nice house with victorian era furniture. The view is beautiful and the city is pleasant and not too far from the beach. There was also great weather which is a plus.
I loved the location. I was able to walk down the street to get anything I needed from Safeway. Nightlife was a little farther down the road. During the day walking by the water was spectacular and the ship wreck at Fort Stevens was a great beach to spend the day on. My only complaints were the sound of sea lions at night but that is not in anyone’s control.

I stayed at the studio for a month while attending school at the community college. Right when I walked in it felt warm and cozy. Its decorated very nicely. I enjoyed having the kitchen and being able to cook for myself and save money. Having safeway less than 2 blocks away was a huge plus, and I also loved being so close to the River Walk trail so I could go for jogs after class. Its a couple miles to downtown from the building so its best to have a car, but its very doable to walk or ride a bike to see the sights as well. Astoria is a great little town and I would stay here again if I got a chance to return and do some more exploring. I’ve done a lot of traveling and can tell you this is a great deal for what you get.
The bathroom was really well done. I had enough in the kitchen to make myself whatever I may have needed and best of all I go to hear the sea lions. They were not too loud but if I opened the window they definitely made themselves heard. I enjoyed my stay overall and was happy that I had no trouble parking right next to the house.
I stayed in this cute and cozy unit for the month of August with my small dog and two cats while I looked for a long term rental. The owner is very nice and accommodating and the in town manager is available for any issue that may arise. Both of these women are awesome and made my stay more enjoyable and relaxing. The unit is beautifully furnished and has everything you need. I loved hearing the sea lions every night and it’s close to everything! This was a great introduction to Astoria
The room was in great shape. The location was ideal, as it was walking distance to the downtown area, yet out of the way from busy downtown traffic. Safeway is less than a 5 minute walk if you need anything. The best part about this rental is the view overlooking the mouth of the Columbia!
This is our 2nd stay for me and my fiancée. First trip, we had a Jacuzzi tub, view room – we took the cheapest accommodations (still great for $ 65/night with en-suite Jaccuzi tub and kitchenette and private patio that we BBQed on—). This trip, we upgraded – we took the Victorian, 2 rooms, with more views, still Jacuzzi tub and another full bathroom; living room and fully stocked kitchen. Both apartments were fantastic. But the Victorian is so romantic if you can afford it (still under $ 80/night). We will definitely stay there again.
